ZELKOVA carpinifolia

'A long-lived, slow-growing tree eventually attaining a large size. The bark is smooth and gray like a beech. Erect, crowded branches which form a characteristic dense, conical head. The hairy shoots bear, ovate to elliptic, coarsely-toothed leaves which are rough to the touch above.(7)
